Taş Oda Mansion.
Imagine it here on Bayram day. This interior design was typical for a mansion (konak) in Turkey from the 17th century until the late 18hundreds. Guests were welcomed in the “sofa”, which is usually a hallway, lobby, or large balcony (see the last photo), and then escorted into the grand living room.
There are ornaments on every wall. The main colors are inspired by Islam: red, green, gold, and blue.
These photos are from the Taş Oda Konağı in Burdur, Turkey. It is one of the examples of Ottoman architecture and Turkish-Islamic works from the 17th century. #GüzinMut #documentaryphotographer
