After nine years I made it back to one of my favorite cities: Istanbul. Back in 2008/09, I spent six months in this beautiful, chaotic, inspiring, sometimes heartbreaking mega-city. Then in 2013, I visited again, at a very tumultuous time for the city and country.
Istanbul is a feast for the (photographer’s) eyes. Every corner hides some poetic, romantic, nostalgic, or brutal scene - if you know how to look you’ll discover that everyday life is a movie worth to be seen.
And if you observe closely where your eyes wander, you’ll find a bit of yourself.
