What a concept it is actually: You choose a piece of land, build a house, fill it with little pieces of you, and call it home. Or at least one dimension of home.

Back in November, I photographed apprentice Dimitrios at a construction site in Berlin Mitte, where he finishes his apprenticeship as a concrete and steel-reinforced concrete specialist.

Some of my photos were published as part of MoMA’s Photo Club.

Some things have changed, and then again, a lot did not. The traffic is still bad, the Mexican food is still one of the best, homelessness is still pervasive, and the weather is still gorgeous.
